volunteered for dates, and staff filled in as necessary. Please take a look at your calendars and

Dear City Council Members:
I am writing to notify you of my impending departure from the City Clerk's office. I plan for my last day
to be on April 14, 2017. 1 recently received the opportunity to enter my dream line of work. Although I
have greatly enjoyed the short time I spent at City Hall, I just can't say no to this opportunity, and so I
have to move on.
I do hope that my absence will not cause any inconvenience within City Hall. I will be more than happy
to assist you in anything you need help with as you look for a replacement to fill my position. Please do
not hesitate to reach out if there's anything at all I can do for you during my remaining time here, or in
the future.
I really appreciate your understanding. The City Council has been a pleasure to work with. However, it's
very important to me that I make this job switch while I still have the chance to do so.

The next joint meeting with the City of North Liberty will be held on Monday April 17`^, 2017. The
meeting will be held in the North Liberty Council Chambers, at 3 Quail Creek Circle, North
Liberty, IA 52317. The reception will begin at 4 p.m. The joint meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m.
Please be prepared at our April 40 meeting to discuss the agenda items you would like to
include at the April 17th joint meeting.
A complete agenda and meeting date confirmation will be available in your packet preceding the
April 17'' meeting.

CALL TO ORDER: Chair Joseph Treloar called the meeting to order at 5:30 P.M.

Motion by King, seconded by Townsend, to adopt the consent calendar as presented or amended.

NEW BUSINESS

OLD BUSINESS
Community Forum Discussion — Treloar stated he had directed Fruehling to contact the Police Chief
regarding the community forum to see if he would attend, give some background information on himself
and his philosophy on policing (5-10min). The Chief agreed and staff will add to the forum notice. The
Board decided against having another topic for a presentation so there would be ample time for
community questions.
PUBLIC DISCUSSION
None.
Townsend questioned some wording in the draft minutes regarding the by-law changes where "the
Chairperson" was to be changed to "the Board". Fruehling confirmed that it was changed and was
correct in the draft minutes included in the packet.
Fruehling informed the Board that the Rules Committee meeting to review the recommended by-law
changes was Thursday, March 16.
