COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF COUNCIL ACTIVITIES
MAY 25, 2017
Iowa City City Council special meeting, 12:30 p.m. at City Hall. Mayor Throgmorton
presiding. Council Members present: Botchway, Cole, Dickens, Mims, Taylor, Thomas,
Throgmorton. Absent: None. Staff members present: Fruin, Dilkes, Voparil.
Unless other noted, all actions were affirmative and unanimous.
Moved by Mims, seconded by Taylor, to adjourn to executive session to evaluate the
professional competency of individuals whose appointment, hiring, performance or
discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable
injury to that individuals' reputations and those individuals request a closed session
(City Clerk). The Mayor declared the motion carried and adjourned into executive
session 12:31 p.m.
Council returned to open session 3:49 p.m.
Moved by Dickens, seconded by Taylor, to adjourn speci/al meeti at 3:50 p.m.
