R-032 RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING ON IOWA CITY AIRPORT RELOCATION FEASIBILITY STUDY WHEREAS, the Airport Commission of the City of Iowa City, Iowa, has employed the consulting firm of Coffman Associates to conduct a planning study to determine the long term requirements of the Iowa City Municipal Airport; and, WHEREAS, Coffman Associates has completed the Airport Relocation Feasibility Study and will present a summary of the study and recommendations to the Airport Commission and the City Council on • February 9, 1993; and, WHEREAS, the Airport Commission requests comments from the general public on the recommendations from Coffman Associates addressing the aviation requirements for the Iowa City/Johnson County area. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AIRPORT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA: 1. That it is the intent of the Airport Commission to conduct a public hearing on the recommendations of the consulting firm of Coffman Associates concerning the Airport Relocation Feasibility Study. 2 . That a public hearing on said Airport Relocation Feasibility Study will be conducted by the Iowa City Airport Commission at the Iowa City Public Library, 123 South Linn Street, Iowa City, Iowa, at 5: 30 p.m. on February 16, 1993 . 3 . That the Airport Manager is directed to publish notice of said public hearing pursuant to Section 364 .7, Code of Iowa, and to provide copies of the study summary to the City clerk' s Office for public inspection at least four (4) days prior to the public hearing date. R-033 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRPERSON TO SIGN AND THE SECRETARY TO ATTEST TO ENDORSE A PROJECT FOR SECURITY FENCING AT THE IOWA CITY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Iowa City Airport Commission to provide a safe environment for the aviation and public users of the Iowa City Municipal Airport; and WHEREAS, security fencing in designated areas will provide added security and separation between land side and air side operations on the Airport; and WHEREAS, the Airport Commission has an agreement with the City Council of Iowa City to provide up to $ 100,000 annually as a local matching share for capital improvement grant projects deemed appropriate by the Airport Commission to fulfill the capital project needs of the Iowa City Municipal Airport. NOW, THEREFORE, HE IT RESOLVED BY THE AIRPORT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA, that the Chairperson is hereby authorized to sign and the Secretary to attest to a resolution endorsing Phase III of the project to provide security fencing at the Iowa City Municipal Airport. R-034 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRPERSON TO SIGN AND THE SECRETARY TO ATTEST A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE IOWA CITY AIRPORT COMMISSION AND THE IOWA CITY COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Airport Commission of the City of Iowa City, Iowa and the Iowa City Community School District have negotiated a lease agreement for a parcel of Airport property approximately 100 feet by 400 feet, located in the northeast quadrant of Airport property, as shown in Exhibit A of the lease; and WHEREAS, in partial consideration for said lease, the Iowa City Community School District has granted the Airport Commission a permanent access easement across School District property adjacent to the Airport, as shown in Exhibit B of the lease; and WHEREAS, the term of the lease is for one (1) year, from August 1, 1993 to July 31, 1994. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AIRPORT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA, that the Chairperson is hereby authorized to sign and the Secretary to attest said lease agreement with the Iowa City Community School District. R-035 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRPERSON SIGN AND THE SECRETARY ATTEST TO FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF AIP PROJECT 3-19-0047-03 AT THE IOWA CITY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. WHEREAS, AIP Project 3-19-0047-03, an Airport Relocation Feasibility Study has been completed by Coffman Associates; and, WHEREAS, the study results have been forwarded to the Federal Aviation Administration in Kansas City, Missouri, for review and comment; and, WHEREAS, Coffman Associates has adequately completed the study as stated in the terms of the contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AIRPORT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA, that the Chairperson is authorized to sign and the Secretary to attest to final acceptance of AIP Project 3- 19-0047-03 , pending review of the Federal Aviation Administration. R-036 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRPERSON TO SIGN AND THE SECRETARY TO ATTEST TO AN IOWA AVIATION WEATHER SYSTEM (LAWS) EQUIPMENT USE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND THE AIRPORT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA. WHEREAS, it is the intent of the 'Department of Transportation (State) to provide a computer and associated equipment to connect to the IAWS for the aviation and public users of the Iowa City Municipal Airport; and, WHEREAS, the Airport Commission will provide space for the computer, printer, and modem and provide electrical power; and, WHEREAS, the State will provide installation and maintenance of the equipment and connecting telecommunications; and, WHEREAS, the term of the lease begins on January 1, 1994 and ends on December 31, 1994, unless otherwise as stipulated in the agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE AIRPORT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA, that the Chairperson is hereby authorized to sign and the Secretary to attest to an equipment use agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for Iowa City Municipal Airport.
