MINUTES
IOWA CITY AIRPORT COMMISSION
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 1991 - 12:00 P.M.
IOWA CITY TRANSIT FACILITY
MEMBERS PRESENT: Richard Blum, Pat Foster, Robert Hicks
MEMBERS ABSENT: John Ockenfels
STAFF PRESENT: Anne Burnside, Ron O'Neil
CALL TO ORDER:
Chairperson Blum called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. A
quorum of the Commission was present.
ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION/ACTION:
a. Site Selection/Master Plan Study - Blum reported for the Site
Selection subcommittee. Ten firms qualifications were reviewed.
Three firms were selected to provide specific proposals and will be
interviewed. The three firms are Armstrong Consultants, Coffman
Associates, and Stanley Consultants. Foster moved to accept the
recommendation of the subcommittee. Hicks seconded the motion and
it was passed 3 - 0. The proposals should be returned to the
Commission by October 28, 1991, and the selection will be made at
the November Commission meeting. O'Neil will notify the firms not
selected for interview. Someone from the City Planning Department
and Public Works will be invited to participate in the interview
process.
b. ICFS lease subcommittee - Hicks reported for the lease
subcommittee. Only the fees on the lease are due for negotiation.
Rent is negotiated every five years. The individual items for
negotiation were discussed in detail.
ADJOURNMENT:
Foster moved to adjourn the meeting at 1:03 p.m. Hicks seconded
the motion and the meeting was adjourned.
