COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF COUNCIL ACTIVITIES
JANUARY 3, 2017
Iowa City special meeting, 5:00 p.m. at City Hall. Mayor Throgmorton presiding.
Council Members present: Botchway, Cole, Dickens, Mims, Taylor, Thomas,
Throgmorton. Absent: None. Staff members present: Fruin, Andrew, Dilkes, Monroe,
Voparil, Jennings.
Unless otherwise noted, all actions were affirmative and unanimous.
Moved by Botchway, seconded by Thomas, to adjourn to executive session to
discuss as a public employer, strategy regarding Collective Bargaining Agreements with
city employee organizations; as such discussion is exempt from the provisions of
Chapter 21. The Mayor declared the motion carried and adjourned into executive
session 5:02 p.m.
