Ash Tree Visual Survey — September 2018
➢ 268 Ash Trees Identified in this area.
➢ 140 Ash Trees Identified in ROW as potential
candidates for treatment:
➢ 2 Excellent Condition
➢ 59 Good Condition (Marginal for Treatment)
➢ 79 Fair Condition (Marginal for Treatment)
➢ Tree conditions need to be confirmed in spring.
➢ Bid process has started to secure a contractor to
chemically treat trees in Spring 2019.
➢ Budget estimate for treating is $50,000 per year for
all treatment throughout the City.
➢ Staff is working on additional marking of trees to be
removed and trees that have been treated.

include contacting the rental
occupant and mark each tree
slated for removal or treatment
with signage.
Staff discusses need for tree
removal with property owner.
It may take several months for
both the stump to be removed
and new tree to be planted.
Each property owner is contacted
prior to removal unless it is a
safety hazard that cannot wait.
