City Manager Fruin provided additional information. Action: Staff will reach out the owner of 400-12 Clinton and attempt to negotiate improvements to the concept for 400 N Clinton / 112 Davenport. Primary goals will be to reduce height/massing, improve context, incorporate open space, include HPC design review and ensure salvage opportunities. Transit Study Update Transportation Director Nagle-Gamm presented a power point on the following: - Goals of the Transit Study. - What's included in the Iowa City Area Transit Study (ICATS). - Public Outreach — Phase 1 - Most desired services from the survey - Public Outreach — Phase 2 (3 scenarios) - Vision for Enhanced Services - Other items to be reviewed - Next steps City Manager Fruin provided additional information. Individual Council members expressed their views. Action: Staff will follow-up with Mayor Pro Tem Salih to better learn how to gain insight on the transit needs of the Arabic speaking community in Iowa City. Council member Thomas requested items 9.h and 9.i be pulled from the consent calendar for separate consideration. • [14] Social Justice and Racial Equity Grant Allocations... Mayor Pro Tem Salih stated she would be recusing herself from item 14. • [11.c] 12 E. Court Street— Level II Design Review Height Bonus... Mayor Teague noted the late handout with potential amendments to consider during the formal meeting. 0 1. (IP3, Memo from Budget & Compliance Officer: City of Iowa City FY19 Continuing Disclosures) Council member Mims stated there were a lot of good statistics that could be compared year to year. ➢ February 13 1. (IP6, ICCSD Joint Work Session Agenda) Council member Mims reminded Council members of the February 19 Joint meeting with the School Board.
