Joint Meeting with the Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD)
Iowa City Community School District Board members present: Janet Godwin (President), Shawn
Eyestone (Vice President), Charlie Eastham, Paul Roesler, Lisa Williams (3:05p)
Senior Planner Russett introduced the consultant team from Opticos and listed the items that would be
presented.
Tony Perez, Director of Form -Based Coding, from Opticos Design Inc. presented a power point on the
following:
• Overview of the process and input received
• Overview of the new South District Form Based Code
• Overview of Draft Code
• Overview of Regulating Plan
• Project timeline and next steps
Discussion by City Council and ICCSD Board members. City Manager Fruin provided additional
information regarding future City/School District communication.
