Summary of Minutes
March 3, 2020 - 5:00 PM
Iowa City City Council special meeting, held in Emma J. Harvat Hall, 410 E
Washington St. Mayor Teague presiding. Council members present: Bergus, Mims,
Salih, Taylor, Teague, Thomas, Weiner. Absent: None. Staff members present: Fruin
Monroe, Dulek, Fruehling.
Unless otherwise noted all actions were affirmative and unanimous.
Moved by Mims, seconded by Salih, to adjourn to executive session to discuss the
purchase of particular real estate only where premature disclosure could be reasonably
expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay for that
property. The minutes and the tape recording of a session closed under this paragraph
(property acquisition) shall be available for public examination when the transaction
discussed is completed. The Mayor declared the motion carried, 7/0.
Council returned to open session 5:28 p.m.
Moved by Mims, seconded by Salih, to adjourn special meeting 5:29 p.m. The
Mayor declared the motion carried, 7/0.
