NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROJECT MANUAL
AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE PRENTISS STREET BRIDGE PROJECT IN THE
CITY OF IOWA CITY. IOWA
TO ALL TAXPAYERS OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY,
IOWA, AND TO OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:
Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of
the City of Iowa City, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing on
Project Manual, including the plans, specifications, contract
and estimated cost for the construction of the Prentiss
Street Bridge Project [BROS-3715(663)—W-52] in said city
at 7:00 p.m. on the 31' day of March, 2020. Said meeting to
be held in the Emma J. Harvat Hall in the City Hall, 410
East Washington Street in said city, or if said meeting is
cancelled, at the next meeting of the City Council thereafter
as posted by the City Clerk.
This project includes replacement of the existing
Prentiss Street Bridge. Roadway improvements on
Prentiss Street extend to South Dubuque Street and on
South Linn Street extend 200 feet north of Prentiss Street.
Storm sewer on Prentiss Street is being replaced to
increase capacity and reduce surcharging during large
rainfall events. The project also includes improvements to
ADA sidewalk ramps, public utilities and water main.
Said Project Manual and estimated cost are now on file in
the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall in Iowa City, Iowa,
and may be inspected by any interested persons.
Any interested persons may appear at said meeting of
the City Council for the purpose of making objections to and
comments concerning said Project Manual or the cost of
making said improvements.
This notice is given by order of the City Council of the
City of Iowa City, Iowa and as provided by law.

THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, IOWA
TO ALL TAXPAYERS OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY,
IOWA, AND TO OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:
Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the
City of Iowa City, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing on the
Project Manual, including the plans, specifications, contract,
and estimated cost for the construction of the Water
Distribution East Pressure Zone in said city at 7:00 p.m. on
the 3rd day of March 2020, said meeting to be held in the
Emma J. Harvat Hall in the City Hall, 410 East Washington
Street in said city, or if said meeting is cancelled, at the next
meeting of the City Council thereafter as posted by the City
Clerk.
This project includes water main system improvements
to create an east pressure zone within the existing Iowa City
water distribution system. Construction will include
trenchless installation of approximately 300 feet of new
water main, hydrants, and valves; concrete roadway and
sidewalk patching; and reconstruction of pedestrian curb
ramps.
Said Project Manual and estimated cost are now on file
in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall in Iowa City,
Iowa, and may be inspected by any interested persons.
Any interested persons may appear at said meeting of
the City Council for the purpose of making objections to and
comments concerning said Project Manual or the cost of
making said improvement.
This notice is given by order of the City Council of
the City of Iowa City, Iowa and as provided by law.

sidewalks, plantings and associated work.
Add Alternate No. 1 is for Napoleon Park and includes the
additional work and cost for a 18'x18' shade structure. Add
Alternate No. 2 is for Napoleon Park and includes the
additional work and cost associated for a 24'x24' shade
structure.
