Sludge Storage Tank Masonry Repair Resolution awarding contract and authorizing the Mayor to sign and the City Cleric to attest a contract for construction of the Sludge Storage Tank Masonry Repair Project. Comment Bids for this project were opened on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 and the following bids were received: TnT Tuckpdnting and Building Res. Stockton, IA $159,800.00 Tricon General Const. Cedar Rapids, IA $ 227,000.00 McGill Restoration Omaha, NE $ 233,712.00 Enginee's Estimate $165,000.00 Public Works and Engineering recommends award of the contract to TnT Tuckpointing and Building Restoration of Stockton, Iowa. The project will be funded with Wastewater operational funds. 6.f. Court Street Improvements Resolution approving, authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute and the City Clerk to attest an Agreement by and between the City of Iowa City and Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC of Cedar Rapids, Iowa to provide engineering consultant services for the Court Street Improvements Project. Comment This agreement authorizes Foth Infrastructure and Environment LLC to provide consultant services including design development, platting for easement/property acquisitions, preparation of construction documents, bid phase services and limited oonstruction administration services for the Court Street Improvements Project. The project generally includes the reconstruction of Court Street between Muscatine Avenue to First Avenue. Highway 6 Trail — Fairrneadows Boulevard to Heinz Road cResolution approving, authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute and the City Clerk to attest an Agreement by and between the City of Iowa City and Snyder & Associates, Inc. to provide engineering consultant services for the Highway 6 Trail— Fairmeadows Boulevard to Heinz Road Project. Comment This item will approve an agreement with Snyder & Associates to provide the preliminary design, final design, preparation of plats for property/easement acquisition, preparation of bidding documents, permitting, bidding assistance, and constri c n services for the Highway 6 Trail — Fairrneadows Boulevard to Heinz Road Project The project will provide a multipurpose recreational trail along the south side of Highway 1 between Fairmeadows Boulevard and Heinz Road. The negotiated fee is not to exceed $79,000.00 and will be funded by the Hwy 6 Trail — Fainneadows to Heinz Project, Account #R4376. 6.h. Mercer Park Pool Dehumidfication and Tuckoointin 'z -y - 2- Resolution approving, authorizing and directing the Mayor to execute and the City Clerk to attest an Agreement by and between the City of Iowa City and Shive-Hattery, Inc., of Iowa City, Iowa, to provide engineering and architectural services for the Mercer Park Pool Dehumidification and Tuckpointing Project. Comment This agenda item autliorizes an agreement to provide engineering and architectural services for the Mercer Park Pool Dehumidification and Tudcpointng Project The total cost of the services is $111,750 and will be funded by the Mercer Park Pool Dehumid6catior7L6pdnbng account #84369. 6.i. Procurement of the Transportation and Disposal of Non- l Radioactive Chemical Waste, Disposal of Compressed Gas Minders and Stabilization of Potentially Explosive and Reactive Compounds Resolution authorizing the procurement of the Transportation and Disposal of Non -Radioactive Chemical Waste, Disposal of Compressed Gas Cylinders and Stabilization of Potentially Explosive and Reactive Compounds. Comment This Resolution will approve the procurement of the Transportation and Disposal of Non -Radioactive Chemical Waste, Disposal of Compressed Gas Cylinders and Stabilization of Potentially Explosive and Reactive Compounds. The contract will be for three years, with an option to renew for an additional three one-year terms. During the initial 3 -year contact period this purchase will exceed the $150,000 spending authority of the City Manager, thereby requiring Council approval. Over the course of this 3 -year contract the City expects to expend approximately $175,000. Spend on the project will be approximately $178,560 over one two-year term. 7. Setting Public Hearings 7.a. Idyllwild Drainage Diversion -�---z 3 Resolution setting a public hearing on December 15, 2020 on project manual and estimate of cost for the construction of the Idyllwild Stormwater Drainage Diversion Project, directing City Clerk to publish notice of said hearing, and directing the City Engineer to place said project manual on file for public inspection. Comment The IdylMrild Drainage Diversion Project includes the construction of new storm sewers under Foster Road and Taft Speedway and a drainage swale along the west side of No Name Road to the Iowa River. The project will also induce a bid alternate for a new pump stafion at the outlet of the Idyllwild Subdivision stormwater management system.
