Since 2016, the number of City employees has decreased overall. Since 2018, when the category was
created, no staff have identified
as “Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander.” “Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander” and “Two or more races” are reporting categories
added in 2018 due to changes in
EEOC requirements.
While racial discrimination complaints increased 11%, the total number of complaints received by the Human Rights Office decreased 11% over 2016.
Youth charges are referrals to Juvenile Court Services.
Because of the unique circumstances
of COVID-19, 2020 percentage comparisons are not useful.
*2020 is impacted by the COVID-19
pandemic and thus should be
considered in that context.
