Please consider all materials submitted by the applicant. Applicant Agency Houses into Homes Request for FY24 Funding $15,000 Agency Total Budget $280,000 I. Need and Priority Community Need (Q1) Proposal addresses provision and delivery of furniture and household supplies for people exiting homelessness. Provision of public services are a high priority need in City Steps. Services Provided (Q3) Proposal requests funding for staff support. Project contributes towards achievement of goals in City Steps – specifically provision of public services. II. Impact and Delivery Benefit to Low Income Person (Q8) Target population is people who have experienced a form of hardship. Many have experienced homelessness and/or domestic violence. Agency serves all income levels. <30%AMI: 66% 30-50%AMI: 23% 50-80%AMI: 10% >80%AMI: >1% Racial Equity and Inclusivity for Marginalized Populations (Q8, Q9, and Form B) Agency reports an increasing number of clients are immigrants. About 80% of FY23 clients listed as non-white. 10% with Hispanic, Latino, or Spanish origin. Outcome Measures (Prior Year Reports and Q12) Reported serving 591 residents in Iowa City in FY22. More information can be found in the FY22 4th quarter report. (Houses into Homes did not receive FY22 Legacy A2A funds). Persons to Benefit (Form B, Form C, Q11 and Q12) Request of $15,000 / 609 = $24.63 per IC resident. Commissioners may also consider cost effectiveness for the extent of services. III. Evidence of Financial Capacity Collaboration/Operations Plan (Q7 and Form C) Collaborations with other agencies such as DVIP described. Agency Budget (Q5 and Form C) Appears reasonable. Three-year average for carryover fund balance = $186,593. Leveraging Funds (Q12 and Form C) Funding request is 5.36% of agency total budget. IV. Evidence of Administrative Capacity Quality of Application (Overall App) Overall appears to be reasonable. Experience and Success (Past Performance, Form A, and Overall App) Applicant is a first time Legacy Agency and has not received LA2A funding in the past.
