Proposal addresses services for survivors of sexual violence and
prevention education. Provision of public services are a high priority
need in City Steps.
Services Provided (Q3)
Proposal requests operational funding for services for survivors of
sexual violence as well as education for primary prevention. Project
contributes towards achievement of goals in City Steps – specifically
provision of public services.
II. Impact and Delivery
Benefit to Low Income Person (Q8)
Prevention services target ages 12-22 and victim/survivor services
are available to anyone impacted by sexual abuse. Agency does not
collect income data.

Agency describes outreach efforts to expand anti-oppression
framework and staff training/anti-racism discussions. About 51% of
FY22 clients listed as non-white. 7% with Hispanic, Latino, or
Spanish origin.

Reported serving 1,025 residents in Iowa City in FY22. More

Request of $30,000 / 1025 = $29.27. Commissioners may also
consider cost effectiveness for the extent of services.
