Please consider all materials submitted by the applicant. Applicant Agency Rape Victims Advocacy Program (RVAP) Request for FY24 Funding $30,000 Agency Total Budget $1,035,447 I. Need and Priority Community Need (Q1) Proposal addresses services for survivors of sexual violence and prevention education. Provision of public services are a high priority need in City Steps. Services Provided (Q3) Proposal requests operational funding for services for survivors of sexual violence as well as education for primary prevention. Project contributes towards achievement of goals in City Steps – specifically provision of public services. II. Impact and Delivery Benefit to Low Income Person (Q8) Prevention services target ages 12-22 and victim/survivor services are available to anyone impacted by sexual abuse. Agency does not collect income data. Racial Equity and Inclusivity for Marginalized Populations (Q8, Q9, and Form B) Agency describes outreach efforts to expand anti-oppression framework and staff training/anti-racism discussions. About 51% of FY22 clients listed as non-white. 7% with Hispanic, Latino, or Spanish origin. Outcome Measures (Prior Year Reports and Q12) Reported serving 1,025 residents in Iowa City in FY22. More information can be found in the FY22 4th quarter report. Persons to Benefit (Form B, Form C, Q11 and Q12) Request of $30,000 / 1025 = $29.27. Commissioners may also consider cost effectiveness for the extent of services. III. Evidence of Financial Capacity Collaboration/Operations Plan (Q7 and Form C) Numerous collaborations with other agencies such as Monsoon Asians and Pacific Islanders in Solidarity described. Agency Budget (Q5 and Form C) Appears reasonable. Three-year average for carryover fund balance = $626,781. Leveraging Funds (Q12 and Form C) Funding request is 2.90% of total agency budget. IV.
