Please consider all materials submitted by the applicant. Applicant Agency Free Lunch Program Request for FY24 Funding $25,000 Agency Total Budget $137,098.88 I. Need and Priority Community Need (Q1) Proposal addresses food insecurity through free meals. Provision of public services, including but not limited to, food pantries are a high priority need in City Steps. Services Provided (Q3) Proposal requests operational funding for meal services. Project contributes towards achievement of goals in City Steps – specifically provision of public services. II. Impact and Delivery Benefit to Low Income Person (Q8) Agency does not track demographics for beneficiary data. Meals are provided with an open-door policy. Proposal notes that most guests are unhoused or come from low-income households. Racial Equity and Inclusivity for Marginalized Populations (Q8, Q9, and Form B) Agency does not track demographics. Guests and volunteers of any race, ethnicity, immigration status, disability status, sexuality, and gender are welcome to participate. Outcome Measures (Prior Year Reports and Q12) Reported serving 29,977 meals in FY22. More information can be found in the FY22 4th quarter report. Persons to Benefit (Form B, Form C, Q11 and Q12) Agency does not track demographics. Over 30,000 meals served in FY22. III. Evidence of Financial Capacity Collaboration/Operations Plan (Q7 and Form C) Collaborations with numerous other agencies such as HACAP described. Agency Budget (Q5 and Form C) Agency has a negative carryover balance with the three-year average at -$436,962. Leveraging Funds (Q12 and Form C) Funding request is 18.24% of total agency budget. IV. Evidence of Administrative Capacity Quality of Application (Overall App) Additional financial records would be useful. Overall appears reasonable given the lack of demographic data. Experience and Success (Past Performance, Form A, and Overall App) Agency has received more than five years of consecutive LA2A funding.
