high priority need in City Steps.

Proposal requests operational funding for clinic services. Project
contributes towards achievement of goals in City Steps – specifically
provision of public services.

Target population is uninsured and underinsured people. 61% of
clinic users in FY22 were employed at low-income jobs that did not
offer insurance.

Agency reports that immigrants and refugees are the fastest growing
group of clinic users. About 30% of FY23 clients listed as non-white.
About 60% with Hispanic, Latino, or Spanish origin.
Outcome Measures (Prior Year
Reports and Q12)
Reported serving 1,004 residents in Iowa City in FY22. More
information can be found in the FY22 4th quarter report.
Persons to Benefit (Form B, Form
C, Q11 and Q12)
Request of $40,000 / 824 = $48.54 per IC resident. Commissioners
may also consider cost effectiveness for the extent of services.

Numerous collaborations with other agencies and providers such as
UIHC and JCPH described.
