Action: Gf/!`"l - 1 ITEM NO. 3 CONSIDER A MOTION SETTING A PU~~HEARING FOR FEBRUARY 16 ON A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO ADJUST THE LONG-RANGE PLANNING GROWTH AREA BOUNDARY TO INCLUDE APPROXIMATELY 132 ACRES OF LAND PROPOSED FOR ANNEXATION NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 1 AND INTERSTATE 80. Comment: At its January 21 meeting, by a vote of 7-0, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of this amendment. Staff recommended approval in a memo dated December 30. Approval will accommodate the annexation proposed by the Moss Green Development Corporation Action: Special Agenda February 1, 2010 Page 2 ITEM NO. 4 CONSIDER A MOTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR FEBRUARY 16 ON A RESOLUTION FOR A VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION OF APPROXIMATELY 132 ACRES OF LAND NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 1 AND INTERSTATE 80. (ANN09-00001) Comment: At its January 21 meeting, by a vote of 7-0, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of this rezoning. Staff recommended approval in a report dated December 17. Approval will allow this property to be incorporated into the City of Iowa City for future research park development Action: ~~~` ITEM NO. 5 CONSIDER A MOTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR FEBRUARY 16 ON AN ORDINANCE REZONING FROM COUNTY AGRICULTURAL (C-AG) ZONE TO INTERIM DEVELOPMENT -RESEARCH PARK (ID-ORP) ZONE FOR APPROXIMATELY 132 ACRES OF PROPERTY LOCATED NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 1 AND INTERSTATE 80. (REZ09-00006) Comment: At its January 21 meeting, by a vote of 7-0, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of this rezoning. Staff recommended approval in a report dated December 17. The Interim Development -Research Park zone designation indicated the City's intention to rezone the property at a future date to allow research park uses when adequate infrastructure is in place.
