COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF COUNCIL ACTIVITIES
JANUARY 19, 2010
Iowa City City Council special meeting, 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. Mayor Hayek
presiding. Council Members present: Bailey, Champion, Dickens, Hayek, Mims,
Wilburn, Wright. Absent: None. Staff members present: Helling, Dilkes, Karr, Fosse,
Craig, Davidson, Moran, O'Malley.
Moved by Champion, seconded by Wright, to adjourn to adjourn to executive
session to discuss as a public employer, strategy regarding Collective Bargaining with
city employee organizations; as such discussion is exempt from the provisions of
Chapter 21. Affirmative roll call vote unanimous, 7/0, all Council Members present. The
Mayor declared the motion carried and adjourned into executive session 7:04 p.m.
Council returned to open session 7:17 p.m.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Wilburn, to adjourn special meeting 7:17 p.m.
The Mayor declared the motion carried unanimously, 7/0, all Council Members present.
